DAY1
Drive from the bay area took 4+ hours and arrived in the afternoon at Tahoe Vista, which is quite close to Nevada boarder at 1900ft elevation. After settling down we took a brief hike along a fire access road to see Crystal Bay's overview. Afterwards kids jumped into the water at a small rocky beach near King's Beach. Water was extremely clear, but temperature was chilling (below 20c), not sure how kids were able to stay in for so long...
DAY2
Joined a guided group kayaking tour in the morning on the pristine lake.
Went to Tahoe City in the afternoon for some roaming around and dinner.
DAY3
Back at Tahoe City for some cycling along the Truckee River. The trail was nicely paved and well marked which made the 1.5hr ride much easier.
Went back to King's Beach for some paddle boarding which kids insisted on trying. The shop was nice enough to give them 15 minutes try before closing for the night.
DAY4
Kids went for parasailing in the morning. After checkout of the lodge, we headed toward Emerald Bay for a hike and visit to Vikingsholm.
Summer Tahoe is more fun than winter in my opinion as I don't ski or enjoy cold weather.
