After the summer camps, daddy brought Ethan to OR for a family vacation.
Crate Lake - Finally got the chance to visit after living in OR for 6 years. We wanted to take a cruise in the lake. However in order to get to the boat, we'll have to hike 1-mile down and 1-mile back. Considering Ethan's age, we decided not to go. And it turned out the tickets were sold out long ago.
Wild Life Safari - It's mostly a drive-thru park where you get to see many animals in natural habitats. Boys had a lot of fun.
Fun on Sand dunes - Afternoon we drove toward Florence and stop by for some dune rides. Spent the night in Florence where the motel is facing a river off the ocean.
Otter Rock - Visited the world's largest sealion cave as we drove toward the inn which is very close to the beach. I couldn't believe OR coast in Aug still felt like late Autumn with overcast sky and misty air. Children were brave enough and swam in the outdoor heated pool. Took a walk on the beach near the inn. It was cold and windy. We finished early and headed to Lincoln City to do some outlet shopping. Arrived back in Portland before dinner.
