DAY 1:
Picking up LG's dream car BMW Welt first thing in the morning and end up spending most of the day there. After touring of the factory, we took metro to Munich's old town and walked around and had dinner at an outdoor food court.
Mary’s Square - is the heart of Munich and the best place to start your Munich sightseeing tour. Marienplatz itself offers many interesting things to see and do, and it is in walking distance to even more must-see attractions of Munich: impressive New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus); The tower of the New Town Hall houses the Glockenspiel, a 100-year old carillon; Am Viktualienmarkt (market), just south of the Marienplatz.
The Frauenkirche is a church in the Bavarian city of Munich that serves as the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising and seat of its Archbishop. It is a landmark and is considered a symbol of the Bavarian capital city
DAY 2:
- A scenic drive thru the Alps toward Linderhof Palace - A Fairy-Tale Castle, it's less known but even more beautiful than Neuschwanstein. Linderhof Palace was King Ludwig II´s Villa and the only building he totally completed during his lifetime.
- Reached Fuessen to check into the hotel. It is only a short trip to Hohenschwangau (an inspiration for Wagner's Ring Cycle) and the iconic castle of King Ludwig II, Neuschwanstein.
- Loved the breakfast at the lodge, the available condiments for bread were just abundant.
DAY 3: Heading toward Black Forest
- From Fussen we drove on the "German Alpine Road" toward Lindau on north shore of the Lake Constance, which is located between Germany, Switzerland and Austria and flown through by the river Rhine. Enjoyed a walking tour of the picturesque Lindau.
- Follow the street along the shores along Lake Constance toward the Black Forest.
- Stopped by Donaueschingen to visit the source of the River Danube, the so-called "Karstaufstoßquelle". It has been identified as the historical source of the Danube ever since the Roman general Tiberius visited it in 15 BC. The source is framed in a romantic wrought iron basin, which lies in the palace grounds right next to the Prince of Fürstenberg's palace.
- Wanted to visit Fuerstenberg Brewery, but it was already too late
- Arrived in Triberg in the afternoon. Deep in the heart of the Black Forest, Triberg is home to the highest waterfall in the country. After your visit of the waterfall you might want to visit one of the most beautiful churches in the Black Forest, the Wallfahrtskirche Maria in der Tannen (Church of Our Lady of the Fir Trees). It lies on the western edge of town, an 10-minute walk from the center.
- Triberg also claims to be the birthplace of the cuckoo clock, so if you're in the market for a traditional timepiece, this is the place to find it. Nearly every restaurant and café offers the famous Schwarzwälder Torte (Black Forest Cake)
DAY4:
- From Triberg follow the scenic “Schwarzwaldhochstrasse” (Black Forest Mountain Road, street number B500) to Freudenstadt. In Freudenstadt you will find Germany´s largest market square. Along the way you will find scenic places to stop and enjoy the views.
- Continuing on to Baden-Baden, pass by Geroldsauer Mühle for snacks, and then took Merkur Mountain Railway to the mountain top. There is a free lift up the Merkur Tower, to bring visitors up to the 23-metre viewing platform, so they reach a total height of 700m. There you can enjoy a fascinating panorama of the Baden-Baden basin, the highest mountains in the north of the Black Forest and the Murgtal valley
- Heidelberg, both historic and young, will capture you with its easygoing charm, will remain unforgettable for those who stood in the castles gardens, overlooking the town and the river, will make you feel history while roaming thru cobbled alleys when visiting the Old Town and the scenic Old Bridge.
